February 2018 Top Ranking Free-to-Play Mobile Games

As a mobile video games aficionado, I browse and check Google Playstore from time to time in order to check out new games I could play. Earlier this morning, I did and it dawned on me that I should blog about such stuff. So here I am.

To begin, here's a photo of what's in there. In the list ranked 1-5 are Rules of Survival (aka ROS), Wordscape, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Word Link, and Free Fire: Battlegrounds.

I do understand that these rankings might seem surprising for a hardcore gamer considering that there are two word-related games, Wordscape and Word Link, at the top of the charts. However, it cannot be denied that such casual games have a certain amount of appeal for casual players just looking for something to pass the time by.

On the other hand, the other three games are something to look forward to for an action-packed gaming experience on-the-go. Let's break 'em down after the jump.

Rules of Survival. First released in November 2017 by NetEase Games, it is a First-Person-Shooter (FPS) Battle Royale. Players queuing for a match gets transported to a warzone where everybody only has one objective: Be the last man standing.

The game features awesome graphics and physics engine to provide exciting gameplay involving a wide selection of weapons, a range of vehicles for mobility, and an infinite number of strategies and approaches players can adapt in Solo Queue or Team Matches to gain victory as the safe area on the map shrinks.

With over 10 million downloads, the game steadily gains attention and player base population. Talk about a large crowd, no wonder it is currently the top ranking game right now.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. This game brought the classic 3-lane, 5v5 MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game genre to your mobile phones. Released by Moonton in July 2016, Mobile Legends has somewhat become the go-to game for a quick team-action experience by gamers of all ages.

From its release date, it has continuously evolved to the game we know today. The developers have been updating the game with content of additional hero selection and awesome hero skins for a more psychedelic visual appeal. It currently has over 50 million downloads and stats show that it could still rise up.

Free Fire: Battlegrounds. Another First-Person-Shooter (FPS) Battle Royale, Free Fire: Battle grounds is published by Garena on November 2017. It has a similar game concept with other Battle Royale shooter games but with one key variation: a 10-minute time limit.

Free Fire: Battle Grounds features an arsenal weapons, vehicles, and tactical terrain for all players to have fun in. Competitive ranking matches are also included which provides gamers a little more nudge towards excitement.

With options of games going Solo, or Team mode, this game packs exciting fast-paced gameplay for the lone wolf or the party people type of gamers. Currently having more than 10 million downloads, the future looks promising for this game.

So many to choose from, keeping ourselves entertained is a breeze with all these action packed games. In addition, I believe I might have just found another game to stream on my YouTube channel. With that, I'll be off and probably download one of these while I prepare myself to....

Puke some rainbows.
