Rules of survival started out as a mobile game. It's a Battle Royale so you can just imagine how exciting a game could be. Also, the devs released a PC version of the game earlier in 2018. It was a cool game to begin with. Light on the hardware requirements, easy access with log-in using your facebook or google accounts, and it's fast paced.
However, the PC version has been haunted by several problems since, well, anybody can remember. There are still bugs and glitches which are tolerable to some extent. But the bigger problem right now is the amount of god damn cheaters in the game.
You got every kind of cheat in there from speed hacks, jump-like-a-kangaroo hacks, wall and location hacks, and tele-kill hacks where the noob shooting bastards get to hit you even when you're completely hidden in buildings. Amazing, right? Right.
I guess it's safe for me to claim that for a supposedly chill game, the amount of cheaters in RoS is definitely taking the fun out of it. But despite all that, Netease was still able to hold a tourney. That's well and good but damn. That's mighty bold of them to take the leap of hosting a competition when they got a cheese of a game, full of holes.
It could be argued that the devs are doing something about the cheaters. They claim to have banned more than 160k accounts from March 19th to 21st and the list is getting longer; yeah right. as if it is that hard for cheaters to make another account. With that said, the list is definitely getting longer but the amount of cheaters remain the same. genius! Next, they claim to have upgraded their anti-cheat system too. I don't know about this one but I don't see much difference since the past three patches.
All in all, Rules of Survival may still be deemed as playable. However, if the devs aren't going to do something about the cheater population, I think the game isn't going to survive for more than a year tops. But for the mean time, let's play and meet up at cheater lake.
